GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T

The GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T's cabin is finished in unique all-brown leather upholstery with premium-looking contrast satin silver accents on the dashboard, door pads, centre console, and three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel. 

The full-TFT instrument console behind the steering wheel and the large rectangular, standalone touchscreen infotainment system with toggle-like switches below it make the cabin of the GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T feel new-age. Many of the design elements of the Tank 700 Hi4-T will make you recall those of the G-Class and Defender, making it a typical Chinese SUV.

While the GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T might lack individuality, it does have a striking road presence. The upright stance of the SUV is characterised by an aggressive-looking fascia, comprising a trapezoidal grille with horizontal chrome slats and headlamp housings beside them, which have rounded outer edges and LED projectors and LED DRLs within them.

The angular window panels, upright bonnet, high ground clearance and squared wheel arches over the 22-inch machined alloy wheels contribute to making the GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T look butch and proper SUV-ish. The GWM Tank 700 Hi4-T comes standard with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which is a combination of a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine, a single electric motor and a 37.1kWh battery. The engine alone claims 360 bhp of maximum power and 500 Nm of maximum torque. However, with the electric motor coming into action, the system generates a combined power output of 516 bhp and a combined torque output of 800 Nm.

Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, this powertrain also has a 37.1kWh battery, which is capable of delivering an EV-only range of around 100 km.
